297. The Promise Of Silence

The promise of undying love
The witness to unending scuffles.
Ends up in harshest words
Assassinating our very existence.

Calmly settles the predator
Having assassinated the character
Satisfied at the perfect finish.
If nothing else in  keeping away.

Life has learnt from experience
Words at times are no balm
For the selfish heartburn's need
Yet it promises to languish than speak.

The inner self churns in turmoil
Suffocating with undaunted pain
Yet it knows it is best to maintain
The Promise of Silence.
