219. Bitter and Sweet

The man who is born
Will one day be laid to rest
Just like each night passes
To welcome the day.
The flowers that bloom
Will wilt with time.
The Birds which are soaring
Will return home to their nest.
Yet at times we give undue privilege
To our egos
Making our troubles double
Forgetting only love and care
Will repair our damage.
Rest like memories
Will make us bitter and sweet
As it flees across our mind.

218. Claims

Nothing is new
The selfish world
Ensures that the drama
Is perfectly played.
Calling others killer
Is their game.
Strangely they make
Various claims
But run for life
In  the face of calamity.
The hypocritical people
Sit and judge others,
While their own cabinet
Is filled with skeletons.
They can't believe anyone
And torture others
Abusing and shunting
All people as if they own them.
At these miserable moments
I feel so desolate
And try to search
For inner peace
But alas all I hear
Is screams and screeches
From the laureates
Claiming their claims

217. The Capital Looks On

In the sweltering summer heat
In the heavy monsoon rain
On windy stormy days
On dark cold nights
I see him pulling
He pulls his rickshaw
He pulls his cart
To pull himself
Out of the abject state of poverty
Yet year after year he remains
In the same dismal state
And the capital looks on
Satisfied with providing him
Enough to pull through the next day.

216. Sharper than swords

The battle of words
Wound sharper than swords.
The bruises on skin are superfluous
They do fade with the passage of time.
The words that rip us stay with us
Till we bid adieu and RIP finally.

215.Treacherous Moon

Full moon did cast doom
She wanted no moon
To reveal her gloom.
Instead the treacherous moon
Dishevelled her more like a goon
She found it difficult
To keep herself safe.

The summer heat was no treat
With insects and flies
Devouring her straight
The eerie silence of the night
Made her jump at every sight
She felt shit scared and crass
With the shattering of glass.

Her abandoned state
Robbed her from being safe.
Though for the love of her life
It was nothing but a medium
To come  neck to neck.
She knew she was overpowered
She could never match the steps.

214.Nothing escapes her eyes

Nothing escapes her eyes

She gauges what I am up to

Even today by hearing my voice.

Her soothing calm and patience

Heals me whenever

I ‘m jittery and impatient.

When none can guess my troubles

She just has to takes a look

To read me like an open book.

Her questions still needs answers

Lying to her is beyond

My indigenous power.

With grown up kids of my own today

I can understand her better

Then I ever did yesterday.

213.Let us Labour

Let us Labour to make our stay on earth be a worthy one
Let us learn to tackle the things that can't be easily done.
With zest and fervour we can Do dear mates
And swing all bitterness to sweet taste.
At times failures may threaten to rip and hit...
But remember nothing is lost till you quit.
