Thoughts scud and flutter
Along the path of infinity
Through misty haze
Obsecure with uncertainty.
Reflecting introspecting
Sometimes jarring us
With shock
At other times
Weaving a cocoon
Around pleasant memories
In dark empty hours
Against days and years
Gone by
Against self
Against emotions
Against relations
Against past
For future
Making the mind buzz
With innumerable If's
And it's worth
Across the expanse
Of our reflective mind.
Mercilessly
Time smiles
Supreme in knowledge
As it flies
Telling us perhaps
To take every moment
As it rolls by
Promising to improve
None but self
Despite all odds.
