63.Hunger For Change

Showers from heaven joins the Brook
Gurgling on its way
As it gallops through the woods
Hungering to meet the River in its flight
It keeps travelling non stop
Through the days and night
The river winds it way through fields and dwelling
Settling perhaps to meets the Ocean in the plains.
Yet their hunger is unsatisfied.
Soon we find them in the clouds
Pouring down as rain
To join the brook again.
And this Hunger
For Change remains
Be it a Brook
Or Life in any lane.

61.Why does this Nation Celebrate Children's Day ?

As I wish my Children
Happy Children's Day,
My mind is filled with Questions
Answers to which I search Each Day.
Pacing Up and Down
On the floor of my Room
I am lost in the Maze
Of Unanswered  Questions.............
Why are Children Homeless?
Why do they Sleep Hungry ?
Do they have Parents?
Are they Orphans?
Are they Abandoned?
Why is fate so Cruel,
For the most Innocent?
Faced with Child Abuse
How will they Survive?
How many Children,
How long will we Sacrifice?
These Questions rob my Peace
I am Crippled..........................
Why does this Nation Celebrate Children's Day ?
When still such Pathetic conditions Prevail!!!

60.Smile

Captivated and enchanted
I am drawn towards my baby,
She smiles back at me
Erasing the troubles of the Day.

The innocence in her eyes
Charms me no end.
She Warms my heart
By enlivening my spirits.

Her Smile and laughter
Fills me with happiness and content.
I hold her in my arms
Knowing well I am charmed.

ek aisi shaam nirali
deep kahi tha
kahi thi baati
taras rahae thae
milan ko dono
par kismat us din
unki  thi khalee
aag lagi th
 dil mai unkae
dhadak rahae thae
sulag rahae thae
bichar k  dono
seesak rahae thae
maan hi maan mai
samajh gayae tha
wo ek baat suhani
 ek dujae bin
unki koi nahi  kahanai

57.CANDLE of HOPE

Pack Up!!
The Gongs of Destiny Announced.
Forcing them to Flee
At Midnight Hour.
Thinking the phase would pass Soon,
They took refuge in a Hotel's Room.
Fate had other Plans
Normalcy in the Valley
Was not meant for its Clan.
Resources Dwindled,
Poverty Swindled,
Hardship and Hopelessness Reigned
Refugees they were called in their New Domain.
A little Girl of fourteen than, knew it Well,
She had to bring her Family out of this Hell.
CANDLE of HOPE burnt strong in her Heart.
Armed with just a High School Mark Sheet,
She Challenged Life at every Meet.
Night and Day She burnt the Midnight oil
For Completing her lessons, She did toil.
Traversing on Foot
She crossed several Miles
Managing to earn Enough
To Improve her Plight.
Now She and her family are Well Placed
Having Successfully Crossed
The Barricade of Troubled Days.
And even Today  She Spreads
Warmth in the Air wherever She Treads
Teaching Us never to  Despair
Reminding Us Nothing Stays.
Rekindling the Burnt out Fire in our Heart
Like a true CANDLE She Lights our Path.
