A Degree, A Job,
A Car, A Position,
A Spouse , A House.........
Ah! The list is long.
Targets keep growing
Fulfillment of one,
Leads to the Birth of another.
Ensconced by our cosmetic needs,
We easily venture into unfamiliar territory unfazed.
Impervious to the ones depending on us.
Making emphatic assertions of joy,
At each Target achieved.
Fooling our self We move ahead
Lost in the effervescence of unrealistic excitement.
Consumed by Materialistic Gains
Haven't we Maimed our Lives???
Engulfed by Selfish Wants,
Haven't we long Forgotten our Duties???
Blinded by our Ambitions,
We have locked the door to our real self.
Crippled We stand Today,
Targeted by Targets.
