182.Obeisance to Thee

Maa  obeisance  to Thee
You are omnipresent
You are omnipotent
You beam with benevolence
Providing us abstinence
Channeling  our synergy
Blessing us with your energy
Responding to us in duress
Calming us in stress
Jagat Mata is your modest guise
Till you decide to show your fierceness
In the form of Chandi and Bhairavi
Wiping  away the evil in disguise.
Obeisance, obeisance obeisance to Maa.

181.Why......?

Why is a girls intelligence never acknowledged?
When Saraswati is the goddess of knowledge.
Why are women half fed and hungry?
When Anapurna is the goddess of food and curry.
Why are girls muffled in sleath?
When Lakshmi is the goddess of wealth
Why do we exploit even as women?
When Mahisasur Mardaini is the destroyer of demon.
Why can't we protect our women from goons?
When goddess Lalitambika is the giver of boons.
Why don't we let women speak?
When we call Goddess Raja Rajeshwari the protector of weak.
Why are the women raped unconscious?
When goddess Gayatri illuminates our conscious
Why do we forget to protect the divine beauty?
When protecting Tripura Sundri is our duty.
Why do we abuse her with impunity?
When Maa Durga is the destroyer of impurity.
Why do your children pray to your benign presence?
When rest of the days women are treated with callous indifference.
Maa why during Navratri this fallacy?
When you know well it's a mere hypocrisy.

180.If...

If ever my hands are stretched ,
May it be just in your praise.
If I ever my head is raised,
May it be to acknowledge your grace.
If ever my lips move in feverish prayer,
May it chant your merciful name.
If ever my eyes search for inner peace,
May it be at your graceful feet.
If ever I feel forlon and lost,
May you bestow upon me your bountiful love and care.
If ever I fail in my duties,
May you be my merciful guide.
Maa I seek thee
In my each breath.

179.dur

dur janae ka rasta
kabhi eis kadar khoj letae hai
ki  khud lab seel jatae hai
majbur ho jatae hai
chaltae toh hai rishtae jornae
par rishtae saath dena chor detae hai
agar khushi sabki hai esi mae
toh hum khush hai
sabki khusi mae
ye jaruree toh nahi ki hum
jo chahae wo hi ho
ho toh bas itna ho
ki sab khush rahae
bhalae hi dil royae

178.Life's Play

Witnessing the life's play
has me wondering
how easily we slip
in a fit of rage

the best way we mortals
find to get our way
is to drink,swear, shout
through night and day
so others will keep away

the mark of true sacrifice
happens to be
to purposely cut, bleed,starve
and wander like a vagabond

for that ensures
others can be treated
like a heap of dirt
as they can't do the same

fowl mouthed
sentiments flow
while the sane have theirs'
snapped between the toes

threats and scorns
are the new instruments of love
mercilessly killing
with vocal spill

swearing in different name
blaming others
is the highlight
of this game

for at that moment
all are players
doing things when they want;
and angry person
the emotional saint
living never for self
but like a lover
born to ruin himself.

178.HAPPY RAKHI

HAPPY RAKHI TO ALL MY BROTHERS
This one is specially for you.

O Brothers!
How empty would growing up
Be without you?
You have bestowed upon me
Your loving care,
Standing like pillars
Whenever I needed you .
Childhood memories
Are filled with nostalgic moments
We spent growing up together.

The harvest season
Took us to the paddy field
Despite objections
That girl’s shouldn't go.
It was you who supported us
And was our bank of strength.

Skipping and jumping
To the fields we went
Drinking fresh sugarcane juice
And eating puffed rice and kachri
Till summons from Daijee and uncles
Forced us to return home.

Summers had us playing truant
With mother, aunts, uncles indoor
We spent our time in adventure sports
Silly competitions marked each day

Eating fresh chillies
With mouth’s on fire
Eyes streaming with tears,
Yet we wouldn't give up
To beat each other
In this game.

Climbing guava, litchi and mango trees,
Digging into pickle jars,
Gathering courage to pull out keys
From beneath Daijee’s mattress
Made us feel like a star.

Evening were spent
Playing in the courtyard and temple
Till it was time for a bedtime story.

Assembling on the grand red staircase
We were all ears for Gyanchand,
Our head servant to spin his tales.

Today we have grown up
The festive Rakhi celebration
Unfolds the rich memories
Of untold bond
We share even today.
HAPPY RAKHI BROTHERS!
