363.Compulsion Free

Flipping through
An old diary
Brought out
These enchanting flowers
Whose fragrance
The whiff of wind
Had carried to me
COMPULSION FREE.

Drawn, I had walked
Up to the tree
To pick up
These delicate beauties
As they fell
And spread
Beneath it's shade
COMPULSION FREE.

They still have
A faint sweet smell
Lingering in them
Enough to hold me
In its grip
With its aroma
COMPULSION FREE .

And What better treat!
The diary reflects today's date,
Though years have rolled by.
Binded, once more
I lose myself
In its fragrance
COMPULSION FREE.

361.Fangs (haiku)

Snakes venom don't scare
Poisonous fangs of this world
Scare me endlessly.

360. The Musty Dampness

The fire adds luster to gold
As pitfalls unveils lessons untold.
Days scurry in mundane fight
Tossing,turning plagues the night.
Banging head is no sign of grief
The wounds within unseen weeps.
No sunshine can saturate in centuries
The musty dampness of memories.

@Binita Jha

359. River

The vastness of ocean and seas
Do not intimidate me.
I flow from the mountains
Providing my smooth sweet nectar alike
To parched lands and throats.

I cross each hurdle as I flow
Thanking my creator
For giving me this opportunity
To serve the people
In all ways I can.

I am your River
I long to flow with you
In your hours of need.
Keep me clean
I do not turn salty
Until I merge willing
Into oceans and seas
Unafraid of losing my identity.

@Binita Jha

358. Musing Over

You left along trails
As you changed avenues.
I dwell in them
In my solitude.
Musing over moments
To discover myself further.

356.Fleeting thoughts on SILENCE

When cacophony of sound is in vogue
Silence is treated as a rogue
Associated with depression,
Punishment,  pain and suppression.
Silence has a negative connotation today
Promoting one's choice is the new mantra of the day.
Yet my heart shudders and grieves
And seeks a release from this catastrophe.
Longing for moments of silence.
May I have some silence Please!!
……………………………………………………………
Silence makes us a savage
Noise is no more a garbage
Noise is the new virtue.
Silence is the price we pay
For our immersion in noise
Silence you are the real vice.
……………………………………………………………
I wonder
If you share my apathy;
Noise hurts my ears
I want to catch up on sleep
I want to ponder over my thoughts
I want to read and travel in silence.
Your ring tones, music and honks
Your tears, gossips and giggles assault
And invades my need for privacy.
Ah ! how I grieve for the loss of silence.

353.Detachment

Old association
Strong copulation
Stoic ejaculation
Penetrates to exfoliate
Wanton lust
And experiment
In unfamiliar lanes
Devoid of promises
To exhume
Animal wants
With detachment.

350. Seeds of Thought

When seeds of thought appear,
Sow them quick
Before  they disappear.

Water them with ink
Or else into obstinacy they may soon flee
Before you even manage a wink.

Nurture them with words
Till they bloom In the form of poetry
For people who care to read.

Keep them green in your blog or copy
Recollecting history of its birth
When memory fades and becomes soggy.

@Binita Jha

349. Sipped (haiku)

Encroachment I hate
Yet thirst got better of me
My parched beak sipped.

@ Binita Jha

348. Battle with Self

The free bird flies from branch to branch
The wild dog barks at midnight shrill
Squirrels and monkeys swing freely on trees
Toads croak and snakes hiss
They never have anything to conceal.

The human heart can never do the same
It always conceals what it feels
As to reveal will start another battle
Not with friends ,strangers or love of their life
But a battle with self
Where to reveal is meaningless
And to conceal kills.

Well, I am sure you all do  know
What I mean if you have fought
The battle with self
And your life itself
Is the battlefield .

347.jhgra mita leti hai zindagi

346. O! Dear Bird

O ! Dear bird
Won't you visit me?
I wait for you
Night and day;
I long for your company
Amidst life's routine.
Come soak your
Claws and beak;
Come sip from my pail
And quench your thirst;
Come share your new learnings
I yearn for your presence ;
Come and rest for a while
Forgetting your worries;
O! Dear bird
I seek your soothing company.

345. Deadly deals (Haiku)

Spotless sheet shivers
Doubtful dribbles deadly deals
Ruined relations reeks.

@Binita Jha

344.Across thousands miles I lie

Across thousands miles I lie
Cuddling you in my sleep
Tossing to your heartbeat.
I rise with a smile
For your picture flashes
Upon my inward eye.

My Life rides uphill and downhill
With your name and love

Permanently engraved
In my heart's locker
Storing hordes of memories
That none has the power to erase.

@ Binita Jha

343.Nearly...Happy

I hate you sometimes
When you make me believe
I am important to you
When I know

I am not
And cannot be.
I don't know

When and why
I lost you
But I do know

You keep away.
Yet my heart warms up
To hear from you
And thanks you
For nearly making me happy

Once again tonight.

@Binita Jha

342. Be on Time

What a crime it is to be late
And make others stand in endless wait
Stop maneuvering and lying about time
With an apology for the crime.

Be on time
Do not be late
For lost time will seal your fate
And you won't get

A second chance anyday
If you make it a habit to be late.

@Binita Jha

341.Khub manau chuti

Khub manau chuti

340.My Story

Each day
Happens to be doomsday
If  I fail to seek
Your trustworthy help.

Each hour
Feels like a century
Filled with void and emptiness
Without your guidance.

Each minute
When sadness engulfs
Threatening to crush and crumble me
Faith in you maintains my sanity .

Each second
I am in the midst
Of a cyclone if I deviate
From the path shown by you.

Each moment
At your feet my Lord
Lies my embodiment of hope
As time scribbles my story.

339.Illusions

Many  a rosy picture paints illusion
Blurring our foresight
With its false vision.

It follows us on Seas and meadows
Making us believe
It is as true as our shadow.

Unsuspecting we hurl ourself
Into its well laid trap
Lured by the candid vision.

Till it's too late
To walk out unscatched
From its burning pit.

It churns us in it cauldron
Making thick soup of our limbs
Till we are unable to climb out.

Illusion smiles a wicked smile
In its Web we remain entangled
Scumbing to Illusions vicious whims.

338.Will I survive?

Innumerable togetherness
The gift of understanding
The bond we share
Brings a lump to my throat.

The air I breathe
Smells of your presence.
I cherish each moment
With my eyes open and close.

I wonder each day
Will I survive
If you vanish
Before I do?
