95.Narrow Escape

Peace terminated
Fear germinated.
Ruthless attackers,
Had all petrified.
Stupefied, life was fortified.
In terror pavilion
Pleas for mercy
Was lost in oblivion .
Terror monks showed no courtesy.
They had their hostages play host
To cross the town and police  post.
Out of town on deserted street,
Darkness enveloped.
Suddenly a new command....Run!!
Lifting hem they did as told
Fearing now to be shot dead.
Tears blinded their vision
Yet they ran as if on a mission.
Collapsing in familiar lanes
Only on sighting their loved ones .
Little had they known that morn
As they sat and wrote their college exam,
Destiny had formulated some other  plan.
Answer script still lay clutched in their fist
Playing sole witness to their ordeal.
Unprepared unaware the brave girls
Had faced life's toughest exam
With no scope for mistake.
Horror of that day they live each day
Feeling blessed for their narrow escape.

94.Corridors of life

Corridors  of life
Shows us the strife
Faced by unknown
Battling in pain ,
While we crib
Worrying about mundane.
The nauseating
Cloak of hospital,
Syringe and antiseptic
Suffocates and stifles.
Yet brave hearts
Facing adversities
In wheel chair and ICU
Manage to smile
Knowing well
Life has bestowed
Upon them
Another spring.

93.Charmed by Spring

Joy doubles
As Spring  alights,
Blinding troubles
With great delight.
In its presence
Desires sprout,
Humming like bees
We buzz around ,
Hoping to gather
The essence of life.
Tender heart flutters
Like a  butterfly,
Trying to catch
The  splendor of life.
Renewed with energy
Blessed we feel
Just like a bird
With new found wings.
The sensuous breeze
Caresses  our  face
Snug  we coil up
Charmed by Spring.

92.My Motherland

Supreme faith in our constitution
Has been revived once again.
Common man moves today
With head held high.
Law of Land
Spreads its light.
Punishing the guilty
Re-instilling our faith.

Once again the world has witnessed
The fair trial of the most dreaded
Once again they have learnt
Not to test our Tolerance
Today or ever.

 We spare none
Be it a foreigner
Or an Indian.
To gallows
We put terrorist
Who live only to terrorize.

 Justice cannot be nipped.
We cannot compromise.

Largest democracy of the world
Shines bright
Imparting justice
To all alike.

Let us all rise
And unite
To appreciate the fair
Governance of our land.

 May The  Divine Light
Bless my motherland
INDIA.

91.My Prayer

Into the light of your vision
Awaken me each day.
Guide me on my difficult path
Let me never stray.
May light at the end of each dark tunnel
Bring confidence in my stride.
Bestow upon my dark thoughts
Your ever widening Spectrum of light.
Fill the void in my life
With  your love and compassion.
Lend your ears
To my prayer,
I humbly seek
Your Grace and benevolence.
Light my path
In troubles and good times.

90.Tender Feelings

Tender feelings unifies me
With You my love.
Your heart of gold
Makes me bold
I dare to behave like a kid
Overwhelmed by love.

Sharing ,loving caring
Is our daily bonding.
We are so different
Yet so alike
Perhaps that is what
Keeps us going strong.

Life can never have
A dull moment
With you around.
In You my sweetheart
My soul finds true mate
And each moment becomes precious.

87.Mirage

Each mirage
Ends up in wild chase
Increasing thirst
In that phase.
Defying the sayings of old sage
We run towards it in total daze
Stumbling on our way
To encounter truth
With pounding heart
In total dismay.

86.We still Hope

Expectations have often understood
The fallacy of pining for hope
Yet undaunted it rises
With each one longing for more.
A momentary satisfaction
Befools each age
Trapped in its maze
We still hope.

84.Waiting

Seeking nothing
Life was smooth.
Perturbed it got
With a wish for moon.
Periphery changed
Strangers became friend
But the self within
As if in a trance
Roamed lonely
Up and down the lane
Waiting in eternity
Just to hear from you.
