234.Days Gone By

No shoulder to lean on
No one to share with
Left at a juncture
Leading nowhere
Battered,broken
Be fooled bitterly
Yet Alive

Camouflaging life
With a smile on the lip
While the heart weeps wild.
With muffled sobs
In the dreariness of night
Engulfed in memories
Of the days gone by.

232.Heavenly Downpour

Rain, thunderstorm to begin the morning
Sieves the heat and cools the day.
The town showers and gleams
With each building, leaf and petal washed
Like a child freshly scrubbed
By his dotting mother.
My heart races wild
As rain drops trickle on my face
Soon the drops
Turn into heavenly downpour
It lures me into its arm
I can't stop hypnotized by its call
I walk out;
Ah!I am drenched to my bones
Jumping and splashing in the puddles
Feeling one with my creator
When all of a sudden I realize
I am alone on this road.
No one seems interested
Though it is the first shower
After long summer spell.
The world is either sleeping
Or too cautious to step out
And spoil their neat clothes
Or perhaps it is rustic
To be one with nature these days.
People would rather go to a Water Park
And splash in their designer swim wear
Then enjoy the heavenly downpour.

231.The Fall of Your Footsteps

Night after night
I calmly wait
For the fall of your footsteps.
As I settle in my balcony
To watch you arrive.

Night after night
I wait to rejoice and celebrate
The fall of your footsteps
As you trod up to hug me
With your graceful step.

Night after night
I grow warm in your love
With the fall of your footsteps.
Cherishing moments spent with you.
Till I need them no more
For I will be dead.

230.Stranger

I opened my eyes one night
To find the nightmare lurking
Near the foot of my bed
With scary hooded face
Luring me with its viciousness.

I recall being dragged
To the unknown land.
My eyes searched for light
To explore the unexplored
Helplessly in the darkness
I became the prisoner of destiny.

A loud mourn from the corner
Chilled me to the bones.
The shriek was so deafening
And I realized I would fall
Into the oblivion.
I tried to find my way
Out of this maze
But darkness blindfolded my eyes.
Unheard voices whispered
I kept looking from where they emerged.

Like a shadow melting in the dark
The strange nightmare
Vanished in the broad daylight.
Only to follow me next night
From behind the trees in the dark
As if keeping a watch over me.
I felt petrified yet helpless.
And ran across the field
To the nearby well
And shouted Help! Help!

My voice echoed
My shadow
Reflected back
Like a stranger from the well.
I lend my hand to her
She grabbed it and came out
It was like me returning
From the well.

She did not run away like a traitor.
She was there to stay.
I found out at last
It was me who followed
The unexplored
The stranger
The hooded
The nightmare
The shadow
The reflection.

Today I am facing myself
Answering all questions
I refused to address long ago.
Now I know why it followed.
It was I who needed to know myself
After all the stranger was me

229. Devil Form

A Woman I am
Full of love and care
With no selfish needs
Till you provoke my devil form.

I am a storm
With the power
To challenge and win
If you provoke my devil form.

Your inner strength
Your emotions
Your passions I adore
Till you provoke my devil form.

Accuse me,abuse me
Ignite me,insult me
Stalk me,Curse me
And you provoke my devil form.

It is not my ego
That needs a wing
It is the inequality
That provokes my devil form.

228.Loneliness

Quite night brings out the loneliness
As she gaze at the rift created by time.
Promising to freeze her soul
Even on a mid summer night.

She stretches her hands to gather moments
As they flash upon her inward eye.
Alas! they slip away,
Making her realize
They are no more her own
But just a mirage
Beyond reach
In the desert of her life.

She carries on with her life
Falling and emerging
Smiling and laughing
Only to cheat herself...
For Loneliness
Is here to stay.
