A fatso named Luke

Pretended to be the Duke.

O what a mistake

He was out on skate

Only to skid on mucky puke.

Mr.Eraser

A white sheet of chart paper 

Had been scribbled by a duffer.

The Sheet was spread

It's face was messed

Making it scream,,"Send Mr.Eraser!"

Start Afresh

Start fresh,

Let go regrets;

Let go worries;

Let go anger;

Let go fear;

Let go tensions;

Let go complains;

Let go grudges;

Just Let them go .

Take each day

As it unfolds.

Open your arms

Hug what is yours.

There is no room 

To gather clutter

There is no room

To lament over

What is over.

Just let them go.

Life is yours

Time is limited.

Move ahead

Make an effort

Give your best.

Embrace the truth

Settle for peace.

Pick your colours

Spray and splash

Glow and glitter.

Spread your wings

Rise and fly

Learn from the year

To just let go

And start afresh

Year after year.

Grief

Grief is an unescorted guest

It comes to stay

Learn to live with it

For it is here to stay.

In it's company

Memories are ruffled

Eyes well up

Liberated to choke.

Grief smiles

Settling permanently

Anchored deep

It knows it has won.

Fair or Unfair ?

The promises are blended

With give and take.

Nothing is unconditional.

Any deviation,

Changes the balance.

Pillars shake

Everything crashes.

Memories stay,

Sprouting green.

As it germinates

Deeper and deeper.

Checking is impossible

For it is a tree

With roots, embedded

FOREVER.

Over generations

The ones younger

Have believed themselves

To be smarter.

Be it you or me

It has always been

A very similar story

Deny it if you want.

Acceptance is tough

Yet experience teaches

The lame shout outs

Come from learners.

Check them tomorrow 

Are they in the same shoes

Walking on the worn out path

With the generation next.

Be it gender bias or promotion at work.

Schemes for the down-troden sits stiffled

For their guidelines can rarely be met.

Truth can rarely be proven with mere words.

People who are clueless about the importance of time

Deliver sermons on utilisation of time.

There is no dearth of talented individuals 

Yet connection wins, talent stands unattended.

Equality (Haibun)

Silently they trod with heavy feets,taking quick purposeful steps. Their bundle of joy lies cuddled in arms loop.Saddled on their back are their belongings. The head is crowned with necessity. Hungry or thirsty the march is on from the land of bread and butter to the barracks for existence. I stand and stare,the saga continues,my feet is nailed ,my heart weeps and prays.

Carcasses, foul air.

Equality blows bugle,

Disparity dies.

Segacity takes a back seat.

When recommendations comes without knowledge of content

When decisions are  taken blindly to please the egoes and warm pockets

When inclusiveness is a mere word delivered in speeches

Segacity takes a back seat.

When discrimination on the basis of gender, attire, wealth persist

Segacity takes a back seat.

When education literally fails to educate

Segacity takes a back seat.

When people stream relentlessly like lemmings headed over a cliff

Segacity takes a back seat.
