168. Chapters

Happy memories of days gone by
Make my lips spread out in smile.
Storms of life gives me the strength
To face the threats that rage everyday life.
Sad instances of yester years
Wells up tears and make me cry.

With the passage of time
Chapters have been added
I turn over each page
To unravel  the mystery
That holds the thread of life.

No other book has taught me
Any better lessons of life.
Unedited it speaks of pain ,sorrow and joy
Showing clearly the flaws, flips and gains
Without mincing words to please or tease.

Time has no power to erase a single line.
Each word in this book makes a mark in my life.
The book has my true story
With many chapters complete
And perhaps many more to add!

167.Lecherous People

Lecherous people make grisly moves,
Entangling themselves in deadly grooves .
But, hurrah! they too fall in their schemes
Succumbing  to  fate, they dig their grave.
Spitting venom hardly pays
Each grotesque act
Must be condemned
No matter how lechers grunt.
There can be no pardon
For gruesome deeds done.
Destiny makes lecherous people pay
Like the serpent
Caught by the cacti
In the most unassuming way.

166.Lies are Lies

Lies are lies
Big or small
Pain from it
Never does fly.
They break us
 Into million pieces
Making living
A filthy waste.
Blood and tears
Can never mend the damage
Inside we die
As the soul fills up with darkness.

165.The Lessons of Life

Perfection in life
I never can conceive
For nobody is perfect
And nothing is perfect.
Perfection is a mere illusion
Perfection is an imperfect notion
Causing only utter commotion.
In trying to be perfect
We become imperfect.
I would prefer to be true
And let my scars
Remind me
Of  my inabilities,
Of my need to improve.
Than live with a feeling
That everything is all right,
I need no improvement
And forget learning
The lessons of life.

164.Perfection in Poetry

Perfection in poetry
Gathers material from life.
Jocund and gay
The poet sways
Expressing the happiness of life.
Doomed my fate
Pen flows pouring out
Deep sighs of sorrow
Finding solace
By Drowning  in words.
For,Perfection in poetry
Gathers material from life.

163.Face the challenges of life

No matter what others
Read between your lines,
No matter how much you are
Accused of deceit and lies,
Stand your ground
Face the challenges of life.

Stabs of pain
May jar you apart,
Yet make them your gain
Gathering yourself play your part,
Let your self worth never depart
Face the challenges of life.

There is no room for giving up
Despite life's hiccups.
You need to strain
The essence of life.
Roses and buttercups will be yours
Only if you face the challenges of life.

162.SORRY,Can Never Suffice

Trust built over days
Crumbles in seconds.

Agitated and volatile thoughts
Run riots as guilt strikes
Massacring and wiping out
All that comes in its way
Crushing us with its weight.

Emotionally distraught
We scream and screech
Tossing in pain.
Yet Knowing well
We have to  pay.

SORRY, can never suffice
For wrong deeds done.

The insurmountable grief
Must be borne.
For we have none
But our self to blame.

161.Lovely Morning!

No chants from temple
Can be so healing,
No sight at morning
Can be more appealing,
Then, rising  from slumber
To watch the gentle caresses
Of first rain drops
Trickle down
To meet its mother Earth.
She welcomes her child
Back from vacation.
Stretching her arms wide ,
Embracing it with warmth and love
Soaking with pleasure
At the rebounding.
What more can I ask for O Lord!
When the aromatic smell
Of this aesthetic meet
Welcomes me
To a  lovely morning!

160.Vote For A Nation Strong

Vote is my ultimate power statement
Voting  for good governance is my need permanent.
But does it really give me a stable government
When politicians show only temporary temperament!
Over the years I have seen
Hanks of politicians are never clean.
Their leadership skills flourishes pre-elections
Luring voters with fake promises for every section.
They are bold in delivering lies with conviction
Rarely has one witnessed reforms post elections.
Secularism is generally a coded appeal to minority
Rather than a true practice of merit and equality.
Yet just once I wish to be proven wrong
As today we vote for a nation strong.

159.End each day giving your best.

Lift the darkness from your face
Greet the morning with a grace.
When times are tough
Weather the rough
Even if life seems to beat you down
Smile and strive from dusk to dawn.
Crossing the hurdles without delay
Condemning injustice all the way
Pave your path on difficult days
Surrendering to none but faith.
Live without excuse or regret
End each day giving your best.
